Work trade and resident volunteer opportunities are generally available from March 1st through November 15th. Do check out the climatic conditions on a weather station to get a feel for temperatures and conditions working outdoors.
Hours You Are Available for Work
We usually work Mon thru Thursday 6.5 hours a day, with a lunch break. This leaves three days off. We will coordinate taking care of some chores like watering the nursery, opening and closing tunnels and feeding animals among the crew during the days off. These chores don't take long. It can be up to an hour of chores over those three days. Those of us residing on the ranch need to contribute to weekly cleanups of our common spaces, this is generally one hour on fridays. Housing(Required)
We are a retreat center and community of permanent residents, with some lodging options for volunteers / work trades. Please check the options below that best suit your needs. If you need a single bedroom, then you may need to switch rooms during your stay as a function of the size of various retreats.

Background / Skills

A background in farming in not a pre-requisite. However, it is important for us to know why you wish to spend time with us on the farm. For example: Is it because you wish to farm yourself and wish to learn specific things with us? It is perfectly fine to not have specific plans to farm in the future. However, this time here should serve a purpose for you to make it worthwhile. Please explain how this time with us fits in with your life plans, and how this time here would serve to support your goals and plans.

More About You

Briefly describe yourself and your background. Please highlight anything we should know including any skills as well as things you cannot do. It could be for example you are a woodworker. We have a question after this about being able to lift 50 lbs. Please note that not all of us on the team can lift 50 lbs, so this is not a requirement. However, it is important to know where we are at physically and plan our work around that.
